about

Coralie, co-founder of Spitskool Records steps forward for SK003, revealing a collection meticulously refined over the past year. A sense of readiness and contemplation led Coralie to finally unveil these creations. Marking this release to be exactly 1 year of Spitskool Records releasing music.

“I Steez!" emerges as an electro opus, delicately navigating the narrow space between perfection and chaos. The resonance of metallic arpeggiations weaves among potent kicks, creating a charged sonic landscape.

"Barry Tubber" unfolds as a subatomic break, adorned with 101 alarms and bleeps—a deliberate homage to Nottingham's musical heritage. "Splurter" ventures into expansive and hazardous realms, with colossal arpeggiated bass echoing throughout, gradually evolving into a tumultuous experience. "Odment" serves as an exploration of space and sound, featuring a full and commanding bass, whose sheer magnitude reverberates offensively. A rhythmic, bouncing 2-step beat maintains a steady momentum.

"Pendant Glue", the EP's title track, invites listeners into a poignant exploration of the intersection between club music and brain dance. The composition is a beautiful and melancholic journey, skilfully crafted with tight programming. The contrasting "Spoil Flush" emerges as the counterpart to "Pendant Glue”, as expanding synths and drum programming gracefully navigate the delicate balance between his signature chaos and controlled noise.

In the realm of remixes, Bristolian bass titan Henry Greenleaf takes a contemplative approach, delicately stripping back a track from Coralie's back catalog, titled "Dinkum Flicker." Henry's interpretation transforms it into a weighty minimal wonder, steadily building upon his sound and throwing down some serious sub frequencies.

Maroki offers his unique perspective with a remix of "Odment," also embracing a stripped-down, minimal style while playing with the nuances of the 101 bass. The remix features a textured and melancholic breakdown, transitioning seamlessly into 4x4 territory.

This round of remixes offers a reflective and thoughtful reinterpretation of Coralie's sonic offerings, adding layers of depth to the musical narrative.
